In accordance with the Canadian low vibrations norms

  1. Span is distance measured between centerline of supports. For a reaction under 1200 lbs, minimum bearing is 1 3/4 in.
  2. Maximum live load deflection is limited to L/360 and maximum total load is limited to L/240..
  3. Whithout gypsum pannels placed directly under span, strapping of 1x4 to 48" c/c shall be installed.
  4. The Superior Wood Structures S.W.S. allowable floor spans meet  norms ASTM D 5055-97, CAN/CSA 086.1-94 and 086.1S1-98, and C.N.B.C. 1995.
  5. The floor spans calculations with low vibrations norms is in conformity to specifications establshed in CCMC report (1997 september edition) (See floor construction details).
